SUNY Free Application Weeks — October 19 to November 2

All four partner campuses — Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, and Stony Brook — are included, so you can apply to all four at no cost.

• SUNY Application: the fee is waived automatically.
• Common App: select “Yes” in the fee waiver section yourself.

Early Action closes November 1. The free period runs one day longer, so waiting costs you Early Action — the application and your documents must be in by November 1.

Buffalo's Spring 2027 deadline is October 1 — the earliest of the four campuses. If you are considering spring entry, time is short.

Spring 2027 (January Entry) — The Earliest Deadline Is October 1

If you are aiming for January 2027 entry, this is the final stretch. Deadlines differ by nearly two months across the four campuses, so check your target campus first.

Spring intake is smaller than fall, but for transfer applicants who already have college credits it is a good way to start a semester earlier.

• What you need now: transcripts in English, an English proficiency score, financial documentation
• Note: preparation continues after admission as well. To make a January start, securing your admission by November is the safe target.

Fall 2027 Applications Are Open — All Four Campuses Close Early Action on November 1

With the Common App now open, the Fall 2027 cycle has begun. As it happens, all four partner campuses share the same Early Action deadline of November 1 — which means one round of preparation covers all of them.

* Based on each university's official admissions pages as of August 2026. Some programs set earlier deadlines.

All four campuses also review on a rolling basis, so applying early means an earlier decision and review before seats fill. Above all, merit scholarships for international students are usually decided alongside the application — so if scholarships matter to you, November 1 is effectively your deadline.

Starting now leaves more than two months to improve English scores and develop your essays. Request a pre-screening review and we will go over the documents and deadlines that fit the time remaining.

Fall 2026 Results — Our Students Depart This Month

Students admitted for Fall 2026 have begun departing ahead of the late-August start of term. Here are this season's results by major. (Initials used to protect privacy.)

• Business: K — admitted to Binghamton School of Management, freshman
• Computer Engineering: P — junior transfer to University at Buffalo (60 credits accepted)
• Life Sciences: L — admitted to Stony Brook University with a Merit Scholarship
• Criminal Justice: J — admitted to University at Albany
• Mechanical Engineering: S — admitted to University at Buffalo via rolling admissions
